Day trip in Kobe

The 2nd last day in Osaka and we have no idea where else to visit. After some quick check
via google, we decided to take train to Kobe for a day trip.

The 1st stop is the Nunobiki Herb Garden. This is the entrance to the Nunobiki Herb Garden after came out from the subway station.

To reach the Nunobiki Herb Garden, we will need to take cable car to reach to the top of
the mountain. As the cable car entrance is on upper level, we will need to take lift up the
before reach the ticket counter.

Once we stepped down from the cable car, we were amazed with the beautiful flowers and
European building.

Surrounded by the building is where visitors can sit and relax. Visitors can have their meal there
as well. There is also a live band singing there.

Follow the route down, it will lead the way to the glass house.

As Halloween is 1 week away, the inner of the glass house was decorated with Halloween ambient.

After half a day in the Nunobiki Herb Garden, we took the cable car down and heading to the town.
On the way, the overview of Kobe city was captured.

Next, we stopped by at the Starbucks cafe for a coffee break.

As we walked around, we also visited one of the shrine that we passed by.

There is also a smaller version of rows of torii gates in the shrine.

Night time, we just spent time with photo taking of the night view at Kobe Harbour Third Pier.

And next is the night view of Marine Museum and the port tower.

And that how we spent a day trip in Kobe!

Hong Kong Lantau Island (香港大屿山)

Finally the rain stop after pouring for 2 days.
As planned, we are going to Lantau Island today to visit the Tian Tan Buddha statue.
Did not make it during my last trip in HK as the cable car was under maintenance.

We take the subway to TungChung Station. After few minutes walk, we had reached
the ticket counter to get the cable car ticket.

There is 2 type of cable car tickets available, normal cabin and crystal cabin.
What so special of the crystal cabin is that the floor of the cabin is made by glass where
passenger can look through to the bottom.

These are some photo views that i took in the cable car.
It was drizzling that time.

The whole trip is quite long and we finally saw the Tian Tan Buddha statue!

After took off from the cable car, here is the small village.

The closer we walk to the Tian Tan Buddha statue...

Here we climb up to get closer to the Buddha.

Amazed with the scenery when we reached the top.

On the other side of Tian Tan Buddha is where the Po Lin Monastery situated.

Flavoured Hagfish(eel) 양념꼼장어 @ Haeundae Market

Went to Haeundae beach, one of the famous beach especially during summer. Took Subway Line 1, to Haeundae station exit No.5, the beach is just about 10 minutes walk away.

The view of Haeundae beach was not clear as it was drizzly with strong wind that day. I was freezing as the temperature only at 18c with strong wind.

With that, we decided to go Haeundae Traditional Market for our early dinner.

There were lots of restaurants and food stalls on the both side of the alley. Most of them are
selling seafood as seafood are famous in Busan. After go and forth, we decided to go in one
of the restaurants that selling hagfish.

There are 2 methods of cooking the hagfish, hot spicy pepper or salted. We decided to go for hot spicy pepper just in case we can't accept the taste of hagfish. Strong flavoured will always help in this kind of situation. The ahjumma served us with the side dishes once we place the order. The newly killed hagfish was still moving when it served.

This is the medium portion for 2 to 3 people and we did order fried rice as well.

Hagfish is ready to eat
The nice ahjumma even showed us on how we suppose to eat in the local way. Wrap the meat
with side dishes and vegetables then it can be eaten. The hagfish are very chewy and taste
good with the sauce.

The ahjumma bring plain rice and some other ingredients to us when we ate half of the meal.
She added in the rice, seaweed and some cheese then fried together with the hagfish. The fried rice is awesome with the cheese with it.

This is the restaurant I went. The friendly ahjumma was even posed when I take photo.

Uncommon menu with price on the wall.

Where is this place?
