Sae Ma Eul BBQ (새마을 BBQ) @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Decided to search for some new places apart from Daorae or Dae Jang Geum, for Korean Food
and we found that Mont Kiara have lots of Korean Restaurant. Walking around in Mont Kiara, we decided to go into this Sae Ma Eul BBQ as there was a lot of Koreans dining inside.

The decorations and surrounding there made me feel that I am in Korea. Compare to Daorae
and Dae Jang Geum that has the modern design, Sae Ma Eul has the local Korea feel with the stainless steel table with charcoal stove in the middle.

Unlike those restaurants that serve plenty of side dishes, Sae Me Eul only serves KimChi, pickles
and chives. We decided to go for BBQ set which have sliced pork belly, pork shoulder and baby octopus for 2-3 person.

The staff came over and helped us to grill the meat as we are not sure how to grill it. The pork
was juicy and the marinated baby octopus was chewy and good. The baby octopus is something
that must not miss out.

Do bear in mind, if you want to pay less, bring cash along. They will have a 6% tax charge if
you make  payment by card.

Korea Medicine for Inner K-Beauty Workshop

Attended another workshop organized by Korea Tourism Organization - Korea Medicine for
Inner K-Beauty. Actually I was attracted by the free consultation and free massage provided
in the workshop.

Korea Plaza had invited a young lady to perform 2 songs to the audiences. She studied Korea Traditional Music as her major in University and currently as a teacher for the Sejong Class organized by Korea Plaze. She looks young, but I was truly amazed by her vocal especially
 in singing traditional songs.

The presentation by Dr Choi Korea Medical Palaca took place after the performances. She
asked for volunteers for the acupuncture demonstration after her presentation about Health topic.
I was shy at the first time but decided to raise up my hand when they asking for second volunteer. This was my first try doing acupuncture.

That's me doing the acupuncture

After all the presentation, we been served with Korean dishes such as Bibimbap, Japchae,
Korean Pancake, Kimchi and also Samgyetang (Chicken Ginseng Soup).

I also lined up for the free massage after my meal. The massage was short but I was truly
enjoying the whole process. I felt so relax after the massage.

The workshop of Korea Medicine for Inner K-Beauty organized by Korea Plaza had showed
me another side of Korea.

Sun May Hiong Satay House @ Malacca

Satay is one of the famous foods in Malaysia, mostly made by chicken or beef. Pork Satay is something must not miss out when you visiting Malacca.

The surrounding of Sun May Hiong Satay House was empty and quite and this make a big contrast as the Satay House was full with crowd. You might able to see the smoke when you are nearby as they grilled the satay at the entrance of the shop.

There are 3 types of satay that serve in the satay house: chicken, pork and pork liver. As I was
there about 5.30pm, the chicken satay had sold out. The pork satay was good as they mix the
meat and fat together.

Their satay sauce was special as they are not using the common peanut sauce used by other satay sellers. The taste of sauce is more toward sweet and sour type.

You can ask the staff to add on the satay until you have enough. They will count the stick that
you ate when you want to make the payment. The satay is selling at RM0.80 per stick and the
rice is RM1.50 per plate.

Lim Kee Claypot Bah Kut Teh @ Malacca

This is my first try to Restaurant Lim Kee which famous with their Claypot Bah Kut Teh. I heard
that it is always full with crowd. Maybe it was raining for the whole morning and we able to get
seat once we reached there (about 11.30am).

A big & Clear signboard by the roadside
They are only serving Bah Kut Teh (肉骨茶) and Pork Trotter in Vinegar (猪脚醋). As me and my family were quite full after the breakfast in the hotel, we decided only to go with Bah Kut Teh.

The soup of Bah Kut Teh is dark and strong flavoured. We requested to have a mix of the
ingredients which includes pork ribs, pork meatball, kidney, intestine, bean curd and others. Of course we can’t miss out the best partner of Bah Kut Teh, You Char Kuey (油条).

They also serve yam rice instead of normal write rice. Their yam rice is delicious and worth to try.
